Dr. Kumar Malavalli was the Vice President of Technology & CTO and Co-founder of Brocade Communications (NASDAQ: BRCD), the leading provider of storage area networking infrastructure. He has 20 years of in-depth experience in fibre channel based high-speed networking for storage and other communication principles. Dr. Malavalli has worked with Amdahl, Canstar and HP in varied senior technical positions pertaining to wide area, local area and storage area networking systems. Dr. Malavalli moved to the U.S. in 1995 to set up Brocade, which was taken public in 1999. He currently chairs the ANSI Fibre Channel Technical Committee and sits on the Boards of the Fiber Channel Industry Association (FCIA) and Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA).
Dr. Malavalli is a graduate from National Institute of Engineering, Mysore and has completed his Masters degree in Industrial Electronics from National Institute of Engineering, Dusseldorf, Germany. |
