| Mr. Sarath Naru has focused on early stage venture capital in India over the last ten years. He has been the Managing Director of APIDC – Venture Capital and also heads the Ventureast Tenet Fund. APIDC VC is a unique public-private partnership, while Ventureast Tenet Fund is India's first technological institution linked fund (associated with IIT ). Mr. Naru took over the Management of APIDC – Venture Capital Limited in 1995, in the first effective privatization of a financial institution in India. Subsequently, he launched India's first Biotechnology Venture Fund. Prior to this, Mr. Naru built a trading and manufacturing business in the US and India. He gained significant experience working for Procter & Gamble in the area of brand management in the US and UK. He has also had manufacturing experience with VST Industries, Hyderabad. He holds a BTech from IIT, Chennai and an MBA (Finance) from University of Chicago, USA. |
